Cherry tomato gazpacho with basil oil and coriander
This was the starter we made for father’s day today - the recipe and presentation idea from Tom Aikens on the Great British Chef website. Sieving the soup through muslin was a pretty arduous job (thanks to my sister for that!) but it was definitely worth it, the combination of the fresh tomatoes and basil oil was delicious.
My faithful Sony Ericsson camera phone finally gave up on me last week, so this photograph from my new iPhone - I’m not convinced that the photographs it takes are nearly as good, but hopefully I’ll get the hang of it eventually….
